It’s going to be difficult to move forward as a country until there is proper contrition for the attempted coup against Trump. I believe that this just might be one of those generational shift moments à la 1992 when we chose a Vietnam draft dodger over a WWII combat pilot damned near old enough to be his dad. 2028 might be the election when we jump down to a younger group of leaders who are not mired in the failed paradigm of endless political backstabbing and win/lose outcomes and who might opt for an inclusive, compromise-heavy win-win environment that takes the venom back out of politics. We were a better country when it wasn't there.
